Innovasic Semiconductor is an ISO9001-certified, fabless semiconductor company focused on serving long life-cycle electronic equipment manufacturers. The majority of our designs have been microcontrollers, peripherals and custom ICs developed to replace products that were discontinued by the original manufacturer. We have recently expanded our product family to include fido, a new line of new microcontrollers designed to meet the product development needs of long life-cycle embedded control and communications applications. New Designs
fido is a new family of 32-bit microcontrollers, with a unique new architecture that directly addresses the key challenges facing embedded systems designers. fido was designed from the ground up for embedded control and communications applications and in keeping with our long life-cycle commitment, the fido family is guaranteed to be in production through at least 2020. Our intent is to keep the parts in full production for as long as we have customers purchasing them.

fido has an innovative new architecture that redefines the boundaries between hardware and software, providing deterministic performance with its unique “RTOS Kernel in a Chip”. This, along with the flexibility of programmable I/O peripherals and on-chip debug tools, distinguishes fido from other microcontrollers. fido combines these new features with something familiar - the 68000 instruction set. This is arguably the most widely known and used instruction set in the embedded market today. The bugs in the development tools have all been worked out long ago, providing a very mature and reliable toolchain upon which fido resides. The fido1100 is the first product in the fido family.

Legacy Systems
Innovasic established itself as the leading supplier of extended life replacement ICs enabling our customers to continue to build existing products that rely on ICs discontinued by the original vendor. Our unique process, technology and experience allows us to rapidly develop a pin-compatible and fully function-compatible replacement for digital, analog or mixed signal ICs that have been discontinued by the original manufacturer. We also offer standard products that are replacements for certain previously discontinued devices.
