EOL announcements are increasing in frequency. Consumer products, which are some of the largest markets for semiconductors, are experiencing shorter and shorter product life-cycles. As a result, many semiconductor manufacturers are obsoleting ICs when the consumer market cycle declines. For equipment manufacturers in long life-cycle markets such as industrial, automotive, medical, instrument, telecom, avionics and military, this causes serious problems. Innovasic understands these problems and is prepared to help. Customers can directly engage with us to develop pin-compatible replacements. We also develop and announce Replacement ICs as a part of our continuing self-funded development program.

Innovasic Semiconductor has a policy that it will not discontinue the supply of any IC that is in production, provided we have customers who are placing ongoing production purchase orders. If any of our supply chain partners discontinues a process that is used in the manufacture of our products, we will transfer the product to an alternate process. Pricing of our products may be impacted if we have to re-engineer or transfer to alternate processes, but Innovasic Semiconductor will commit to do this if it makes economic sense to our customers.
